Outline
Together with local schools the clubs has created a sports learning system which combines curriculum activities with sports coaching and healthy living advice. It is called Double Club and splits into three:
- Learning FC: an hour of computer sports challenges plus an hour of sports coaching
- Healthy Living: diet, fitness and sports coaching
- Extra Time: literacy, numeracy and science taught though sport
The project targets children from local schools who are economically disadvantaged, academic and sporting underachievers, kids with behavioral problems or those at risk of exclusion.
