Annual Awards 2006

The 2006 Sportsmatch awards ceremony was supported by the England and Wales Cricket Board and took place at the Nursery Pavilion, Lord's Cricket Ground, on Thursday 9th November 2006.

Over 500 successful applicants, sponsors and guests of Sportsmatch attended the ceremony.

Richard Caborn, Minister for Sport, presented the trophies to winners of the five awards categories, whilst the two runners up in each category received a commemorative certificate.

Alan Burdon-Cooper, Chairman of the Sportsmatch Panel and David Collier, Chief Executive of the ECB, spoke at the ceremony, whilst Mike Reynolds, Director of Sportsmatch, conducted the proceedings.

Mike Reynolds

This year's reception also marked the last Annual Awards for Sportsmatch Director Mike Reynolds, who is retiring next year. David Collier of the ECB and Richard Caborn presented Mike with a signed print of the 2005 victorious Ashes team to thank him for all his hard work and tremendous achievements over the past nine years.
